Earlier today the Hapan Ministry of Information released the following statement to the galactic press:

"With the recent shift in policy from Marshal to Civilian Law, the Hapes Consortium has established a new branch within the government. The purpose of this branch is to police space within the Hapes Cluster as well as to apprehend and detain criminals wanted by the Hapes Consortium."

When our reporters tried to make contact with officials from the Hapan government for more details, Deputy Minister Abriel of the Ministry of Interior gave the following comment:

"This new branch, the Royal Hapan Security Force, is being headed up by Commissioner Taiidan Dequran. Commissioner Dequran is a man with an impressive service record, not only in the Hapes Consortium, but also foreign galactic powers. His Majesty is fully confident that Commissioner Dequran will be able to get this new department on its feet quickly with the assistance of skilled personnel. The Royal Hapan Security Force is charged with finding and apprehending criminals that have committed crimes against the Hapes Consortium and citizens of the Hapes Consortium. In addition, one of their primary tasks will be to apprehend pirates operating within Hapan space. This will usher a new era of security for the citizens of the Hapes Consortium and their allies."
