Betrayal
Posted by: Rhou, Alissma
Date: Year 6 Day 14 Onboard the Marauder-class Corvette Tal'ruuk Might Of Ara in system Gand (179, 421) on Year 6 Day 12 20:12.
The following press release was issued today by the High Priest of Alissma, Hal Br'daan:

"I would like to take this opportunity to respond to recent events. When I noticed that facilities had been transferred without my knowledge, I began an internal investigation and found that the individual responsible - an Arcona named Sivik - had fled from Alissma. Before I could continue my investigation beyond this, I found that the facilities in question had been returned. I made a note to contact Sivik about the matter, and closed the investigation until that time. It was not until I saw Avatar's statement on the GNS that I realised what had occured.

"Sivik was the first to convert to Alissma after my taking control, and had been considered a loyal member. He had been trusted with privileges that nobody besides myself had. However, it seems that credits were more important to him than Faith. Sivik is hereby declared a traitor and an infidel in the eyes of Ara. Any Gand - or and other sentient who is a follower of Ara - who catches him has a holy duty to execute this traitor.

"To the Rebel leader Avatar, I wish to say that you have betrayed your people and your God by your actions. Nevertheless, these actions once again make you famous, or perhaps infamous, and reaffirm your status as an individual. Your Januwine status will not, therefore, be affected. However, you are Exiled from Gand until further notice, and are to be Shunned by the followers of Ara.

"Alissma would like to reaffirm our stance that we respect the Galactic Empire's rights as the legal government. The actions of the infidel Sivik was an much a betrayal of the Gand people, and the followers of Ara, as they were to you. To the family of Grand Moff Kirov Quel Droma, I can only offer my sympathies, and the sympathies of the entire Gand people."
