Nova Arcadius-- A press conference was held this morning on the steps of the recently renovated Starsign Centre in Nova Arcadius, headquarters of the starship production company, Starsign Shipyards. Owner and CEO of the newly formed company, Syn Becket-Fe`ll, used this conference to announce that negotiations had completed the previous afternoon, and the company was ready to reveal its upcoming product line.
"Starsign has received datacard schematics for the YT-2400 civilian freighter, the YV-666 capital ship, and my personal favorite, the YT-510 freighter, the fastest starship available to civilians," she informed the assembled press. "However, it is possible that before production on these starships begins, changes will be made to each of their schematics, so that these models as you see them today may not be identical to the ones leaving the production line in the future."
She was unable to speculate on the nature of the changes, promising only that the costs of the starships would be adjusted to accurately reflect their value once the time came. When asked whether production would begin immediately, she explained that Starsign was in the midst of erecting factories in which these vessels would be produced, and offered the assurance that the company was building these factories as far as possible from inhabited areas in order to reduce the noise and pollution levels for the local inhabitants.
