The Death Hunt II - Deadliest Clash
Posted by: Peter Max, The Death Watch
Date: Year 15 Day 342 Onboard the Modular Taskforce Cruiser [Kyrtsad] Indomitable in system Kroctar (105, 184).

The Kyr'am Oya'karir, or Death Hunt in galactic basic, is a sport involving the hunting of dangerous creatures. The only objective competitors are tasked with is accumulating a set number of trophies from dangerous predators. Competitors have a limited time to collect their trophies, and may also apply for symbolic achievements by performing secondary objectives. In the Death Hunt there is only one rule, in order for a trophy to count, the hunter must be the one to fell the beast.

The Death Hunt has existed since the times of the Old Galactic Republic. Clan Breviin has performed this annual event for millenia and only last year decided to open it to outsiders. The first winnder of this new, open Death Hunt was Claven Deleon, a female Cruscant native.

To secure her victory Claven killed one Dianoga, four Draigon, one Krayt Dragon, two Rancor, eight Kell Dragons and eight Vorskyr. Ms. Deleon provided this statement on her victory.

This year's Death Hunt will be held on the planet that spawned the Great Animosity Plague (commonly referred to as the Derra Virus). Derra IV has been the site of many battles in the Second Galactic Civil War, but has maintained a stance of neutrality in relation to the war. No major corporations or governments control the Derra system. This neutrality was paramount in in Derra IV's selection as the event's host.

Derra IV
Planet: Derra IV
System: Derra
Sector: Kira CW
Galactic coordinates: (71, -166)
System coordinates: (13, 7)

While the planet that spawned such a prolific virus seems like a poor place to hold such an event, the event's site was not chosen on a whim. Derra IV is fraught with danger. One cannot simply hide well out of a creature's reach on a planet like Derra IV. Everything that moves is hostile and only the strongest can survive. Derra IV is a perilous location, and because of this, it is the only place fitting to host such an event.

The ultimate prize of the Death Hunt is the honorary title of Kyr'am Beroya, or Death Hunter in Galactic Basic. A second prize, provided by Clan Breviin and the Death Watch, is the Scepter of the Kandosii. The Scepter of the Ruthless, Kandosii in Mando'a, is an article once belonging to and ancient Mandalorian warrior, who was renown for his ruthlessness and aggressiveness.

Individuals and organizations are encouraged to sponsor this event by donating prizes. To learn more about the Death Hunt or sponsor the event please contact Sub Commander Peter Max.

The second public Death Hunt will begin on Year 16 Day 10.
