Fifth Uli Memorial Swap Meet
Posted by: Lilith Delcroix, Tion Hegemony
Date: Year 19 Day 106 Onboard the Lucrehulk-class Battleship Sapphire in system Sembla (322, 291).

While many individuals yearn for the desire to obtain the greatest technology in the universe, some come for the thrill of negotiation and others come to see long lost friends. All of this becomes possible later this year. This is Arthur, newscaster and protocol droid for the Tion Hegemony government, reporting from Sembla. Recently discovered by Daisy Smith during a Tion exploration mission, this planet is the homeworld of the Vurk and the host of the Fifth Uli Memorial Swap Meet. For the first time in the conjoined territory under the Hegemony's protection, commonly known as the Greater Tion Cluster.

Taking place between Day 116 and Day 125 of Year 19 (Combine Galactic Time), traders, merchants and buyers alike will have just over one week to come together and have the opportunity to exchange Credits and goods. Should trading not be of interest, the Swap Meet will also offer an array of adrenaline activities. Be it racing a fast freighter around the system and burning out sublight engines as fast as possible, or keeping to the ground with a speeder race or even hunting local wildlife during the Death Hunt.

Upon arrival to Sembla, the Lady Hegemon Stephanie Barefoot-Delcroix had this to say about the event. "It is our honour and privilege to sponsor this event. I would like to welcome all visitors to the Sertar sector and hope they will enjoy their stay. I look forward to Tion being part of the Swap Meet, and perhaps the opportunity to host such an event in the future."

While final preparations are taking place to ensure the metropolis of Sembla is prepared for the increase in tourism and immigration during the event, Tion's Athakam MedTech has improved outputs tenfold to ensure medical supplies are available as needed should the hours of trading malnourish some sentients. While the waters of Sembla are inviting to the eye, the Hegemony advises against swimming during the event due to high water pressures and various threats that swim in the waters. Sentients are advised that the grasslands of Sembla are the primary meeting point for the event, with the epicentre being at planetary coordinates of One-Seven.

The Tion Hegemony looks forward to welcome one and all to the event. We wish to advise that all warrants and diplomatic stances will be lapsed for the duration of the event. It is our interest to encourage trade and economic growth for everyone, with no desire to discourage certain individuals with a criminal nature or a lust for piracy. We however wish to advise that upon conclusion of the event, warrants and military operations will return.
