Welcome to the Galactic News Service
Recent activity from the edge of the galaxy has captured the attention of coreward news agencies; the following is a Galactic News Service rebroadcast of a story originally transmitted by media local to the Southeast Outer Rim.
Fears over the plausible arrival of Star Destroyers, their name alone intended to invoke terror, and the bone-white armor worn by their conquering dealers of death have both divided and united various causes of rebellion throughout the galaxy. Warriors from numerous sectors, however, have come to see this potential as a challenge worthy of proving themselves on.
One of these rebel groups is Aliit Gav, a Mandalorian clan full of history, knowledge, wisdom, and stories. Founded nearly twelve years ago by Jaster Gav in pursuit of a future worth fighting for, the clan embraces the motto 'Strength through Family' and has grown to encompass several worlds in the star system of Dagu. With the ongoing development of these planets and the establishment of a public brand, Gav Technical Services, the clan has opened its borders to refugees fleeing Imperial aggression along with all freedom-loving sentients, following the example set by Mand'alor Kai Oryk. In the decade since its founding, Clan Gav has known hardship and loss alongside its success. The trials and tribulations faced by the clan have made it increasingly aware that the fight against tyranny must be embraced by all capable of bearing arms, lest innocents suffer over their inaction.
With the threat of war alongside the recent collapse of the New Republic, a new initiate was formed to protect the settled populations of the Southeast Outer Rim. The Unity Protocol is a loose regional affiliation of organizations aligned in their commitment to oppose the oppressive Imperial galactic regime. The Unity Protocol's purpose is to foster a partnership of sustainable growth amongst its membership through mutual defensive pacts, economic and industrial cooperation, shared access to surplus resources, and communal collection and distribution of intelligence. Founded as a joint effort between Gav Technical Services, the Hyporian Commonwealth, LodeCorp Mining, Mando`ade, the Rebel Alliance, and Stryker Military Services, the initiative has grown to include several other organizations based in the area.
Gaarurra Madclaw, the leader of Clan Gav, spoke with the press alongside the released story.
"We have struggled in our cause throughout the galaxy - in the Core, in the Colonies, in the Inner and Mid Rims. Now, we struggle in the Outer Rim, pushed back by the tyrants in their duracrete castles with their crimson guards. We have never surrendered a single meter - always pushed back fighting. Driven to the Outer Rim, this is where we make our stand for all who came before and all who come after. For all we have lost and all we will gain, the rebellion burns bright and freedom is not free."
