Shadolan Authority Weighs In On Stunt by Bando Gora
Posted by: Aanyah Ramone, Shadolan Authority
Date: Year 21 Day 127 Onboard the Corona-class Frigate [ALR] Freyja's Brísingr in system Venaari (183, 198).

SAA - Venaari, Esuain Sector

On day 122 of year 21, while the rest of the galaxy was enjoying the events at the Ninth Uli-ah Gasfa Memorial Swap Meet on Champala, cabinet members of the Shadolan Authority and the Free Trade Worlds’ council were informed of the so-called “liberation” of a Shadolan Force adept, First Sergeant Talyda Stewart. When news of the Bando Gora’s propaganda stunt had reached the Free Trade Worlds’ council, Bossive Ketwol, former Sith Master of the Imperial Order of the Sith, now High Taral of the Massassi Order of Yavin, was initially quoted asking “Bando who?"

Senior Commander Aanyah Ramone of the Shadolan Authority offered a few brief comments to enlighten the galaxy of the actual events of that day. “The council quickly established that a low ranking member in one of the alliance's bodies had defected for some obscure heretical religion, which was at one point known as ‘Darin Byrch.’” Ramone continued, “Shadolan Intelligence agents observed the defector regularly congregating without chains amongst other members of the Bando Gora - which is quite atypical of a prisoner. With this information and reports of an unconventional affair with the so-called "Darth Drachen", we can safely call this ‘kidnapping’ a hoax and publicity stunt of a cult in order to seem relevant to the galaxy at large.”

Astrid Starchaser, current member of the Cantrell Conglomerate and defector from the Bando Gora, briefly offered her own insight into their mindset: “Power, Passion, and Strength - these are the core values of the Bando Gora, but for me the values fell to Slavery, Control, and Torture. In my time inside their cult, I experienced each of these during my training: from merciless use of Crucitorn, to loss of my own values, and the feeling that the power could consume me at any moment. Whilst learning much about the Force from them, it took me away from the original teachings of the Nightsisters, and led me to believe there was only one way of thinking. Now, as I continue my journey back from the darkness, I plan to bring the teachings of the Nightsisters not only into the light but the modern galaxy.”

As a precautionary measure, Ramone and the other Shadolan cabinet members dispatched a small reconnaissance force to the Bando Gora homeworld of Venaari.

After completing their initial investigation the cabinet of the Shadolan Authority issued an official statement regarding the incident: “We would like to thank all the members of the galaxy who checked in with us and devoted resources to help us resolve this hoax of a kidnapping, especially those who contributed materially with both time and resources. While it’s unfortunate that one of our members defected, this lie by an insignificant group of faux Sith will not be forgotten. While the Bando Gora grasp for any chance to become relevant, we know that Ara will continue to guide us and shape our values.”

This press release was transmitted in low orbit of Venaari by Shadola’s light recon team after assessing the situation on the sparsely populated, ill-defended planet, unhindered by their “Silent Watchers.”
