Welcome to the Galactic News Service
A professionally dressed Chiss in a news studio speaks to camera.
“Finally tonight, we have a lighter side of Guild Quarterly news. The Underworld Racing Circuit is set to start on Day 205 on the planet Mrisst in the Mennaalii System. We had an opportunity to talk to Guild Leader and event Middle, Sol Mazer, about the race and what to expect.”
Holo cuts to Mazer with a reporter’s mic at his face. He is mid answer.
“About six months ago, the leaders of Zann, the Guild, Bando Gora, and Black Skull were kicking around an idea for the scoundrels of the Galaxy. An event for all the ne'er do wells to meet on common ground and set their skills against each other. Our ideas cemented into the Underworld Racing Circuit and the reception has been quite positive. It’s a veritable who’s-who of galactic scamps. We’ve got your criminals, your smugglers, your pirates, Jawas, brigands, mercenaries… All coming! All agreeing not to kill each other during the event. We are glad to bring so many like-minded folks together.
“We’re hosting the event on Mrrist which is a beautiful planet! The articles of Homeworld Protection apply, so all competitors can travel safely without the worry of that random bounty hunter grabbing them. The bazaar, custom show, and starting line for all events is planet’s surface 10,1. We are expecting crowds, so get there early. A number of Trade organizations are coming and folks have organized raffles for drawings during the Race. It’s a great opportunity to get some trades done as well as show off your racing skills. Speaking of which, Hondo Walker and I have been putting the course through its paces.”
Holo cuts to Mazer blasting through the course. He continues to be heard over the display.
“The course we’ve set up is spirited; I’m looking forward to seeing how the competitors handle the subtleties. The course hugs the northern coast, running over open plains and boulder fields. Races are set up for swoops, speeders, and pods- each in their own event, of course. We have received numerous prize ships and items to distribute to winners from people all over the Galaxy. It’s promising to be quite a time! Bring the kids!”
The reporter is heard to ask, “Would you say it should not be missed?”
Mazer replies with a smile, “It should not be missed!”
The holo wipes back to the studio host.
“Again, the Underworld Racing Circuit starts on Day 205 on Mrisst. We are told you can enter the races by contacting Sol Mazer directly. All are welcome so feel free to attend if you don’t plan on racing. It looks to be quite a time!”
