(Tolonda) – Vulca Minerals’ and the The Sith Imperium(sic) representative Merlin MykChur was reportedly in contact with representatives from outside the Imperium today in an effort to petition aid and relief for the citizens of Tolonda from the Imperium’s own self-appointed repressive regime. Utilizing his unique position as the newly appointed leader of Vulca Minerals he gained unprecedented access to the inner workings of the Imperium’s crumbling empire afforded a unique view of how operations at the upper level of Imperium command operate. It also gave him unique insight into the continued problems that have only managed to deepen and fracture internal leadership. Mr. MykChur cited the Jedi Orders declaration of open war, a response to the Imperiums clandestine actions, as a contributing factor to the continued decline. Mr. Myk`Chur, seeing dwindling options for meaningful and long-term advancement within the ‘The Sith Imperium’ as many have fled the crumbling dictatorship to start their own successful ventures elsewhere.

Jedi Knight, Gannuk Kanikorr, responded to the petition for aid and was quickly brought into Vulca Minerals to assess the state of affairs of the organization and its continued role and viability going forward. Knight Kanikorr admitted that upon their inspection, most of these mines seemed to be operating in unsafe conditions and many of the miners were being forced to work in dangerous conditions, with long shifts and little time for breaks. It was unfortunate to note that many miners feared to leave their posts for basic necessities like meal breaks, bathrooms breaks, and rest breaks out of fear of reprisal and execution from their ‘Dysfunctional Sith Overlords’ and many were documented as going to extremes like using outgoing ore piles to hide and dispose of wastes building up in the mine.

Mr. Myk`Chur was reported to have transmitted orders to all mines to cease productions and began to modify and transmit registry details for available equipment to himself and make ready his plans for departure. Simultaneously, Knight Kanikorr transmitted additional orders to all of the mining foremen that all the miners were to be released from their posts and dismissed out of concern for the miner’s safety.

It is reported that earlier this year, in the wake of the actions of an individual who called themselves Darth Khaemtir, that Prince Arthur von Kaldreon went on a bloody rampage through the mines executing any worker who’s employment contracts had been transferred outside of his control. The Jedi, in Order to prevent another of these senseless reprisals, terminated the employment contracts and dismissed the miners on the spot for their protection and safety.

Knight Kanikorr, familiar with those atrocities, captured the tearful confession of one of those miners. While he refused to be identified, citing concerns for safety, he was able to give a statement after he regained his composure. “My father died in that mine, my grandad died there too… Crap, my gran-gran was born there too! Thank the Force I’ll be able to do something else, to be able to die somewhere else.” This same individual was later seen vandalizing a statue of Arthur von Kaldreon erected near the miner’s barracks amid a circle of festive celebration before the individuals quickly abandoned the mining camp.
