Date: Year 22 Day 182 Onboard the Modular Taskforce Cruiser [ToZ] Patriarch in system Vaxal (87, -92).

Zann Consortium crime syndicate today announced the public execution of Sapin Syndicate second in command Alvarak Padium as well as Dazen Kestal who was accompanying Alvarak at the time of capture. Zann spokesperson and Circle member Xanxus Drol, explained the execution is a result of a series of events between Zann and Sapin and her allies that “have been brewing for some time”  prompting Zann to send a message.

Things with Sapin began with them working as contractors for Zann’s Infra (Infrastructure Division.) This led to talks of them joining the ‘Shadow Dominion’; an alliance which includes notable names such as Biotech, led by the infamous crime boss Vee Null. Once Zann formerly allied with Sapin they were supposed to support in a logistics capacity.  Sapin however began exhibiting signs of suspicious behavior which led to fleeing and  joining the Alliance of Mercenary Consortiums, telling Zann members they were more interested in credits and economy than an actual alliance with Zann. This new alliance however was short lived as AMC began to observe similar suspicious behavior from their new friends.

However following their spirited exit Sapin began encroaching on Zann territory and negotiating with enemies of the Consortium.

Issuing a ‘green light’ on active operations against Sapin, Chief Advisor of Zann Consortium, Kyota “Kentu” Navic assembled a team made up of Circle members Robert Reynolds and Bork Shalas along with Defiler Isak Cole and other unnamed Defilers, who enacted a plan which ended in the killings of the Sapin high command members.

“Bork Shalas acted swiftly and precisely, making these assassinations happen. His planning and execution was invaluable” Kyota explained to media sources.

The attack on Sapin comes just a few short weeks after Zann released a volley of attacks on Sapin’s secret associates, the bandits “Emerald Ring'' which has led to three deaths. Artemus Denard who attempted to infiltrate Zann’s Defiler training, Deman Arman attempting to prospect the swoop gang Dark Star Hellions, and Taz Trazdan who failed to assassinate a member of Mecrosa, long-time Zann associates.

In addition, Emerald enforcer Alessandro De Caito’s repeatedly failed attempts at turning members of the Zann umbrella, which was made public in transcript form to patrons of the tavern, Scums Hideaway.

These unsuccessful attacks created a chain reaction which caused Trade Spine League leader, Sekou Tau himself to have Alessandro murder his own wife paranoid her patronage at the tavern made her  associated with their enemies..

Crime Lord of Zann Consortium, Ximaro Jix was unable to be reached, but Xanxus Drol spoke on his behalf and explained Ximaro was in command of the Void Wolves pirates at this time.
