Nah Olos Barely Escapes as Bandits Destroy a Guild Bayonet!
Hacked by: Nah Olos, The Smugglers Guild
Date: Year 23 Day 13 Location Unknown

A professionally dressed Chiss in a news studio speaks to the holo recorder.

We learned today that Master Smuggler Nah Olos, fell victim to an insidious bandit attack this past week. Over a billion credits of Smugglers Guild tech and ships- including the storied Bayonet cruiser Aa’Kua Lofachu were destroyed by a swarm of bandit led fighters. We talked to Smugglers Guild Leader, Solomon Mazer, outside Guild headquarters for more information regarding this unprecedented attack…

*The view changes to Mazer with a mic held close to his mouth; he is already answering a question.*

Mazer: “Yes, we were very lucky to arrive when we did. Albeit too late to ward off the bandit attack and save the ships, but in time to rescue Nah. All he had on him was his speedo and tanning goggles, he was totally caught off guard.”

Reporter: “What assets were lost?”

Mazer: “Nah lost his personal Bayo, a squad of Ys and his A-wing that were docked. The Bayo is a sore loss for him. That was a one of Metuki’s and it was really tricked out. Losing the A-Wing is a bit of a bummer as well. A bunch of Nah’s gear and other personal effects got incinerated.. GE armors... couple of droids.. guns.. booze. Replaceable, but all gone. I’m really glad Nah made it to the escape pod in time. He’s the real treasure afterall.”

Reporter: “Have you spoken to Master Olos? How is he holding up after the attack?”

Mazer: “Olos is seriously butthurt over this ordeal. Like I said, he lost a bunch of stuff… Lately, he’s been mumbling about his cherry collection of ‘Smuggler's Tails Monthly’ that got fried… He still has the subscription, but those back issues… Gone!”

Reporter: “How did this happen?”

Mazer: “Well, Nah was not at the helm at the time of the attack. He was asleep in his tanning bed and alarms were silenced. His gonk droid, Melio, was minding the ship- but its prime directive is not to disturb Nah when he is tanning. It was about halfway through Nah's session that the attack occurred- a little too convenient for my liking…”

Reporter: “Do you suspect a plot?”

Mazer: “Yes. I believe this was an assassination attempt rather than some random bandit encounter. Nah’s tanning habits are well known- and a full squad of ‘bandit’ Headhunters?? Scanner reports indicate that they were in pristine condition. Likely modified to seek and destroy… but that is speculation. We’re going over the wreckage to see if there was tracking device at work on the Bayo.”

Reporter: “Interesting… Any truth to the rumor that Master Olos recently had his Bayonet cruiser and all associated craft- including the A-wing and Y’s- insured for over 5 billion credits?”

Mazer: “…. No further questions.”

*Back in the studio..*

The Smugglers Guild asks that if you have any information relating to the suspected attempt on Master Olos’ life to please contact them through your local Guild office.
