Galactic News Brief
Hacked by: Zerona Corinth, Galactic Empire
Date: Year 6 Day 21 Onboard the Imperial Star Destroyer I Imperator in system Fehern (230, 305) on Year 6 Day 20 18:18.
The program you are watching breaks for commercials, and the news desk of Galactic 10 o'clock is the first to appear.

"Good evening, this is Jenneane Malroney with a flash news bulletin. Just moments ago the almost-infamous pirate cult Eidola claimed responsibility for the murder of Flight Sergeant Egor Orao... in his ship, with the hairpin." The announcer looks annoyed at the teleprompter and continues without pause. "When sought for comment, the Galactic Empire was quoted as saying 'Thanks, Eidola.' It would appear Orao was attempting to sell stolen Imperial property, and thanks to his dealings with Eidola, was able to avoid a swift trial and execution.

"In a private conference with COMPNOR Dept of Information, the following was released to the press:"

A vaguely familiar female voice is heard in recording, and the text is broadcast at the bottom of your screen to follow along.

"The Galactic Empire would like to thank Eidola for disposing of weaker, useless members of the Empire and sparing us the resources and time. In addition to the disgrace of being executed by mere pirates, the traitor Orao will no receive no military honors, and not even a proper funeral. His death was not in the line of duty, but rather a product of his own idiocy. Dealing with pirates, as everyone should know, always ends badly."

The announcer smiles and prattles on as if this were a human interest piece, "In this heart-warming turn-around tale, Eidola has made its first steps toward being a very effective security force, unwittingly performing the His Excellency the Emperor's will without so much as a request. "

"Well, that's all to this story. This has been a flash news bulletin, and be sure to tune in for Galactic 10 o'clock immediately following this program for tonight's more important stories."

The screen fades to the theme music and continues with the regular boring commercials.
