As some of you may know, Apex Mining Corporation was recently welcomed into the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a full member faction, with all of the associated benefits and privileges. After finalizing the agreement, Apex Mining invited the Confederacy to send in its financial team to search through the company's financial records. An in depth examination of the accounts revealed severe finacial irregularities, indicating the possibility the company was harboring and trading stolen goods.
This morning I received the final report of the investigation, which i now have before me. Apex Mining was indeed harboring stolen goods and doing so knowingly and willingly. These stolen assets have been returned to their rightful owners by the Confederacy. Apex Mining's former leadership were found to be in breach of Confederate Law, in not only harboring these stolen goods, but also lying to the investigation team with the intention of stealing the retrieved stolen goods from the CiS authorities.
However, the Confederacy would like to make a distinction. Most general members of Apex Mining were found to be honest, legitimate, hard-working employees. We would like to express our sincere condolences to those honest members that their former corrupt leadership have been allowed to hurt them and their company as much as they have. We want to assure them that Apex Mining will no longer be controlled by these thieves. These honest members are asked to remain in Apex Mining and continue doing their job to restore Apex to its place among the galaxy's Mining Corporations.
