Welcome to the Galactic News Service
Orion Silverhelm diagnosed with Amnesia
Posted by: Zerk, Galactic Empire
Date: Year 6 Day 72 Onboard the Imperial Star Destroyer I Nemesis at galactic position (78, 98) on Year 6 Day 71 9:01.
*The imperial crest stops your favorite soap opera and changes to a news studio somewhere at Coruscant*

"We apologize for the interruption of your regularly scheduled program, but we just received information that the Imperial Government has preempted the time slot with an unscheduled press conference.

We will switch to our reporter right away."

* The screen switches to a reporter standing inside of a large conference room aboard a Star Destroyer of the Imperial Navy. Behind him you can see a large group of
reporters sitting in front of a podium flanked by the banners of the Imperial Navy and the banner of the Imperial High Command.*

"Welcome to this press conference here aboard the IMS Nemesis. We still have no information what the subject of this conference is about but I'm pretty sure we will know in a couple of minutes."

* The reporter turns to the podium for a short moment *

"As you can see imperial officers are now joining the podium. We will now switch you directly to the press conference."

*The camera switches to the podium and shows two naval officers moving to the podium. The junior officer moves direct forward to the podium.*

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to this press conference and thank you for joining us here today. Let me introduce first Admiral Zerk to you, Commander of the Imperial Navy, who will now provide you with an update from the Imperial High Command."

*The junior officer steps aside and the senior officer steps to the podium. His glance is cold and straight ahead as he starts speaking.*

"As a result of some upcoming rumors in the galaxy the Government would like to thank Mr. Silverhelm for the interesting interpretation of the administrative work the government is doing at the moment.
It seems that Mr. Silverhelm was for a longer time period not able to check his local news service or he even was not able to understand it. We recommend checking the source of the totally false information before posting it to Mr. Silverhelm.

We like to give him a brief overview about what he missed to give him the chance to avoid such misleading reports.
The Empire in fact is fighting against pirates at many locations and with great success.
Recently Vel Koon was hunted down and killed by Lord Knyte. Together with our private sector security forces we fight against these terrorists like Tala Slatak or other pirates.
We are glad that even the Falleen government finally shares our position here and supports our fight against terrorism in the galaxy.
Information about a conspiracy between pirates and the Empire are more then ridiculous and absurdly.

The latest naval operations made clear that there is no safe location, no system that could protect those pirates."

*The Admiral turns away from the podium and in that moment several hands in the audience raises. The junior officer moves to the podium*

"The Admiral will not answer any questions at this time. Thank you for attending this press conference."

*The screen fades back to the local program*
