Great news for sports fans throughout the galaxy; the tough-tackling, all-action, goalfest that is the Colonial Shockball League will be returning to media device near you soon!
To celebrate the inauguration of the new era of Shockball, Moebius Ventures hosted the CSL Gala Launch Event at their brand new HQ.
Many important personalities have been spotted among the guests, representing many of the major political and economical powers of the Galaxy. All of them were chatting amiably about sport and leisure, for once, recalling fond memories of past glory in previous iterations of Shockball and leaving behind, for a moment, their everyday issues.
CSL Chief Executive, Tholme So have overseen the celebrations during the evening, while Nat`rhon L`uukh, owner of the CSL’s parent company Moebius Ventures, made frequent visits to any nearby terminal to keep a close watch to the registering operations.
The hosts spoke during a brief press conference on the sidelines of the celebrations having this to say about the forthcoming season
Mr. So “We’ve been working long and hard to resurrect the CSL following some unforeseen problems last time around. it took me a while to recover from the stresses of the former Galactic Shockball league. It was a lot of fun and something I’m proud of, but it was also a whole lot of work. I couldn’t do it by myself. But thankfully, I didn’t have to - Nat`rhon is here now and we’re bringing something wholly new."
Mr. L`uukh "I had many of the same challenges with maintaining the original Colonial Shockball league. I suppose the big difference now is that we are able to work together to balance the responsibility and development of the sport. Shockball will reach new heights. We’re hoping that the GalaxyFest celebrations will spur a wave of good cheer throughout the galaxy and that we’ll be able to ride that wave and launch the new season at the same time. We look forward to the return of some old friends and old teams, as well as seeing what new surprises await us.”
Mr. So “I’m immensely proud of the team for all their hard work in helping the CSL to return. We know there’s a loyal fanbase out there that have been starved of quality sports entertainment for far too long. It’s time we put that right! Our admin team is ready for the registration of players and teams. We hope to have all the teams and players in place so that the League’s opening matches can coincide with GalaxyFest. Information on returning teams and players is still a bit unreliable, but it is believed that there will be a team based in Moebius Venture’s home system of Ord Trasi and there are also rumours of a Jawa-owned team making preparations to join the CSL.
Talking about certainties Dex Sehrin, CEO of Cybot Galactica stopped by the interview booth and released this statement: "Cybot Galactica is proud to continue to field a professional shockball team. Starting back with the original CSL and the Calivir Crushers, later renamed to the Asher Automatons we are happy to announce that we will once again be returning to the field.
