With the nearing completion of the Northern Trade Routes, jointly developed by Cybot Galactica and White Thranta Trading Company, Galactica Security Services has declassified an internal security memo for immediate publication. Preliminary scouting reports along the Northern Trade Route have highlighted several severe security vulnerabilities in the transit of galactic commerce. A total of twenty-five worlds within an approximately one day flight radius of the trade route are currently experiencing cases of extreme criminality.
The shocking extent of the unearthed criminality has led to many GSS reconnaissance missions across the galaxy. While still incomplete, Galactica Security Scouts have already identified an additional twenty-one worlds experiencing these high levels of criminality during their flights sweeping towards the galactic south.
Over the past several weeks, dedicated members of the GSS Intelligence Division have been hard at work setting up a sprawling network of contacts across the galaxy to suit the growing need for local intelligence outside its normal operational areas. In many taverns and cantinas Galactica Security personnel are keeping on top of the latest rumors and information about the rising crimes on key, dangerous, planets. Working in close conjunction with local governments, Galactica Security personnel have managed to establish forward operating locations throughout the galaxy with rapid response capability to planets suffering from excess criminality.
In light of the astronomical quantity of intelligence obtained, the need for partnership with independent bounty hunters is apparent. As such, Galactica Security Services has opened its network of forward operating locations to all Licensed Bounty Hunters as private contractors, allowing them access to their network and all the intelligence information contained within.
Numerous security operations, covering much of the northern half of our Galaxy, have already been successfully concluded based on intelligence generated by the new network in its short operational existence. When asked, Galactic Security Services Director of Operations Drav Refter claimed that all the praise must go to the quick decision making of Cybot Galactica management, and the tireless work of everyone in Galactica Security Services. “Our original goal was to protect the trade and commerce of the Galactica Group, but we have quickly realized that we can do much more than that.” he said during an interview. “As the first measure we have contacted local law enforcement offices, who have brought to our attention the troubling rumors of widespread criminal activity not only in our area, but on a much wider scale.”
As the Galactica Security Services safety net continues to grow, Cybot Galactica has begun mass production of specialized equipment for use on these dangerous planets. An analysis of the traffic in the Asher system has shown a marked increase in heavy freighters taking on shipments of vehicles, combat droids, weapons, armor, and emergency medication. Flight plans logged show said freighters engaging in final preparations for embarkment under heavy GSS escort towards the very worlds experiencing excess criminality. Rumors circulating among Galactica Security personnel indicate that said shipments are planned to establish local policing strongholds on said worlds, and that all Bounty Hunters licensed with GSS may access all equipment in pursuit of their contracts for a small fee.
