We've just learned that the recently formed Vengeance Factory, a mercenary group made up of former military special agents and leaders from the broken Sith Imperium, have led a two man assault against the Dark Star Hellions.
In what appeared to be a routine cargo exchange, Vengeance Leader Xyre Vindictus, also known as The Lion, boarded a Hellions ship and led an assault that resulted in the capture of Hellions second in command, Rick Fias, and 200 crates of cargo. In the process of this assault, Vengeance Cell Boss, Ar'iandel Duune boarded the Hellions ships as well and captured Rick Fias while Vindictus kept Hondo Walker and third less important person, distracted.
Ar`iandel Duune got away with the prisoner Fias and the cargo while Xyre Vindictus remained on board the Hellions ship and battled with Hondo Walker directly. In an exchange that lasted only seconds, Hondo was overwhelmed by the Togorian and he and his crew escaped behind blast doors, quickly engaging the ship's hyper drive. Further details show that the Vengeance Factory was hired by an unknown third party in what VF calls a 'Vengeance Contract', to attack and strike against the Hellions.
A Voice can be heard over the holofeed:
“We managed to secure a communication with Ar'iandel Duune, the one who captured Rick Fias.”
A Ithorian reporter, now on screen, adjusts her posture:
"Word is getting around about the operation you and your Vengeance Leader executed last night.. We learned that you managed to board the Hellions ship and capture Hellions second in command, Rick Fias. What are your thoughts on the current outcome and the set back of Vindictus becoming trapped on the Hellions vessel? We heard that Hondo Walker and Vindictus had a moment of fisticuffs before Hondo was unable to subdue him and ran behind blast doors, taking their ship into hyperspace. Would you still consider this operation a success even though Vindictus is currently trapped behind blast doors and we’re hearing reports he was recently detained?"
Duune now is on screen:
“My thoughts on the operation? It was a success. We were able to steal the contraband as well as arrest a Hellion member. Xyre and I were very aware of the risks, high risk high reward.”
The reporter nods, seemingly satisfied with the response:
"Can you speak any to the secrecy of this operation, it's purpose and the planning of it?.
Duune takes a moment before replying:
“The purpose was simple, Xyre wanted Hellions to feel the pain for their actions when they attacked his brethren in the Infinite Empire many years ago, as we are in the vengeance business. This is what we do”
The reporter asks:
"And the fate of Vindictus. What is the plan for Rick Fias should Vindictus not make it out of this safely?"”
Duune takes another calculated moment before responding:
“If the Dark Hellions want Rick Fias back, They will release Xyre”.
The reporter just nods feeling the seriousness of the Kaleesh's tone:
"All the best of luck, Boss Duune."
With the future of Xyre Vindictus and Rick Fias' lives in the balance, what will come out of this? Is this the rise of a new force, against the Zann Consortium umbrella or simply a mercenary group settling personal vendettas? The answers to these questions are uncertain, but what is certain is the Vengeance Factory have created a different presence in the galaxy and it's members are not afraid to clash with the Dark Star Hellions and have just declared war on the outlaw group, unlike individuals such as Thaelos Kolarr of The Galactic Empire inside of Scums Hideaway tavern.
Kolarr was recently seen by multiple patrons becoming jealous then spewing words no translator could detect in what some are saying was defense of his would-be girlfriend Elarain Belleraux inside the dubious establishment . Patrons say, Elarain was settling a gambling debt in the establishment's casino . Thaelos himself was observed being escorted out by prospects of the swoop club, after the Imperial began drinking too much alcohol and instigating a fight with Hellions members, he later refused to fight with. Unlike, Xyre Vindictus and the Vengeance Factory, who appear to be the only ones capable of going head to head with Hellions, successfully.
