Void Encounter: Mandalorian Cult's Ruthless Tactics in a Sinister Message
Posted by: Lazarus Grimm, Death Watch
Date: Year 25 Day 3 Onboard the Arquitens-class Light Cruiser [DW] The Ultimate in system Asteroid Field Q 140+221 (140, 221).

The wreck of a ship holds an ominous message from the infamous cult Death Watch.

Text by Samasca Dedclar

CONCORD DAWN, Mandalore sector: In a startling development, a wrecked corvette class starship was found on the fringes of an asteroid field near the Concord Dawn system. The vessel, identified as an old CR90 corvette, bore the unmistakable markings associated with the extremist group, the Death Watch.

The ship was discovered by a salvage crew conducting routine operations in the vicinity. Initial reports suggest that the vessel had suffered catastrophic damage, likely due to a devastating battle damage. However, what has caused unease throughout the system was the ominous message etched onto the ship's hull.

The graffiti, scrawled in a bold and defiant hand, read: "The Death Watch Lives On - watch the shadows, Mandalore." It appears to be a clear declaration of intent from this cult-like organization that has been largely quiet for months.

Concord Dawn authorities promptly responded to the discovery, launching an investigation into the wreck and its message. Upon entering the wreck in search of survivors, the salvagers found a gruesome sight. Bodies of what appeared to be the corvette’s crew were strewn throughout the ship, cut down in a vicious battle. Insignia found on the corpses revealed them to be a contingent of the Berubian Brotherhood, a known raider gang reported to have been sighted in the sector. Broadcasting over every holo in the ship was the following message on repeat:

[Anonymous Transmission - Voice Altered]

Brothers and sisters of Mandalore,

You may not see our faces or hear our true voices, but our message carries the weight of a galaxy's worth of grievances. We, the unbroken spirits of the Kyr’tsad, have brought chaos to your territory. The iron grip of your government, which once ruled with arrogance and oppression, is now shattered.

Your resources, once hoarded by the elites, now belong to us. The Death Watch stand against the tyranny that has plagued your worlds under the guise of “peace.” This is a warning to those who would dare to rebuild the chains of your past - the Mandalorian government shall never again hold unchecked power.

As the sun sets on your old ways, a new dawn emerges, one where the people decide their destiny. Join us in this cause, or stand aside, for the Mandalorian people will never again bow to the whims of a select few.

The galaxy watches. The galaxy waits. Change has come to Mandalore.
