Publicly criticizing The New Imperial Order recently for failing to safeguard their command staff members, today the Galactic Empire must wipe yolk from its own face. Imperial Governor Orion Jenru was executed moments ago aboard the New Imperial Ship Vanquish according to a new press release issued by New Imperial Intelligence.

Recently, the treacherous former Imperial and recently named Governor, Orion Jenru, betrayed the trust shown in him by the New Imperial Order as evidenced by his role in a plot to assassinate ISB Director Zarlock. Citizens of the True Empire may rest easy tonight knowing such treachery will not be allowed to go unpunished under our purvey. Orion Jenru was tracked down and apprehended by NIO operatives within 10 days of his assassination of Director Zarlock. Speaking before the press, Director Cyrus Zalath, Director of Intelligence, stated: "In this operation, ISOC was assisted by Alderaanian loyalist aristocrat, Lexington Derrnon, whose network and resources were invaluable in the effort to track down the traitor. Quite frankly, our operatives were fairly surprised at how lax Governor Jenru and the Galactic Empire were regarding his security. One would think having incurred the wrath of an entire Imperial faction would have kept the Governor more alert. However it does go to show that the Galactic Empire's promises of power and allure are little more than wasted breath."

According to our press office, Governor Jenru was tried, sentenced, and executed in a manner befitting the efficiency of the NIO.

So, tonight there is yet one more casualty in the stepped up hostilities between the Galactic Empire and the New Imperial Order, and in the opinion of this reporter, this is likely only the opening salvos.
