LOCATION On Year 26, Day 215, the capital world of Republica erupted into the largest celebration the galaxy had ever seen. Billions flocked from all corners to honor the retirement of Orion Chran, a legendary figure in the Rebel Alliance. A fresh-faced reporter was on the ground to capture the excitement and reflect on a storied career.

In recognition of his service, the Rebel Alliance looked back on Chran’s many accomplishments. At the end of Year 6, Orion Chran felt the call to serve and officially joined the Rebel Alliance on Day 301. With unwavering commitment, he served the military with integrity and honor. Rising swiftly through the ranks, he was appointed High General and Chief of Army Command by the end of Year 11. He held that role until Year 16, when he assumed command of the entire military. Driven by a strong moral compass, Chran's time on the battlefield shaped his sense of right and wrong. Along the way, he discovered his sensitivity to the Force. He trained with the Jedi Order, learning to follow the light side and to respect the will of the Force. In Year 18, Orion was elected Chief of State, succeeding Endaro Kassan. He served his full two-year term before being succeeded by Jin Solas and briefly retiring. That retirement was short-lived. Within six months, Chran returned to public service, taking on leadership of both the Diplomacy Command and the Intelligence Network under Chief of State Solas. When Galen Darksol betrayed the Alliance, it was Orion who stepped up to lead. On Year 21, Day 64, he was named Supreme Commander of the Rebel Alliance. For two decades, Orion Chran dedicated himself to the betterment of the Rebel Cause. Now, at long last, he steps down. In recognition of his legacy, the Rebel Alliance Council awarded him the Medal of Honor and commissioned a statue in his likeness, to be placed at the heart of Republica.

Grand Admiral Jake Azzameen, speaking on behalf of Rogue Squadron, bestowed upon Chran the honorary title of Baron. Allies from across the galaxy shared stories and tributes during the three-day celebration before Republica slowly returned to its normal rhythm. When asked about his future plans, Orion humbly replied,

“I hope to find some quiet and take a vacation. Afterwards, if the new administration will have me, I would enjoy returning to work wherever I am needed.”

Toward the close of the celebration, newly appointed Supreme Commander Jonas Kanuteau delivered a brief but powerful message to allied leaders:

“As we celebrate all that Orion has achieved, it becomes even more clear the shoes we must fill. We must carry his legacy forward and strengthen the bonds that unite us. Now is not the time to ease our efforts, but to deepen them. In the coming week, I will convene the first Rebel Alliance Council meeting and send emissaries to all our allies—to continue the good fight. I mean to watch the Rebellion flourish”
