The Liberation of Imperial Occupied Sectors Continues
Hacked by: Gand Xitwa, The Resistance
Date: Year 21 Day 184 Location Unknown

CALAST SYSTEM, GROHL SECTOR -- Circumstances in the Arkanis and Grohl sectors grew increasingly dangerous this week as the battle between Resistance forces and the Imperial Union intensified over the territory of the former New Republic. Representatives from the Resistance that could be reached say they believe their fleets are close to seizing the Empire’s final strongholds and pushing the enemy out of the rim for good. While they are eager to celebrate victory in the outer rim, the losses suffered in their northern territories during this war have not been forgotten and continue to drive the Resistance forward.

In recent weeks, the Resistance has aggressively launched military assaults in a bold attempt to starve the Imperials of resources and outposts even further. Initial reports of Imperial lines being stretched too thin illustrated just how vulnerable the Imperial Union had become. Furthermore, ground reports are also bringing to light the atrocities that are all too obvious after Imperial occupation. In numerous non-human neighborhoods, water and sewage systems have been sabotaged, prisons have been found packed - with disease rampant, public coffers emptied, and there are countless reports of those who vocally opposed the occupation having gone missing-presumably executed.

With information becoming more public riots protesting Imperial occupation in the Arkanis and Grohl sectors began. At their outset, there was hope that popular outrage could hold off the Imperials long enough for rebel forces to rally and reclaim the region. Buoyed by assistance from the Resistance, protesters were able to occupy many urban areas thereby bringing shipyards, starports, and major manufacturing centers to a standstill. With key logistical infrastructure in Pro-Resistance hands, Imperials found it harder to maintain any level of governance.

With few military resources available to enforce their occupation, many Imperial governors have been forced to flee. Retreating units have been spotted reinforcing the crumbling defenses of more populated worlds as the Imperial Union scrambles to maintain their shrinking foothold in the region. In the wake of the sudden withdrawal, many local officials are left with very little and have since turned to the Resistance for aid and protection. In return, the Resistance has gained new footholds for their fleets across Grohl and Arkanis to push further into entrenched Imperial lines still clinging to control. The Resistance has pledged to aid these orphaned worlds, promising to spend billions on their recovery, as well as helping local governments re-establish themselves.

With the recent liberation of the Kamino system from all forms of Imperial occupation, a growing sense of hope is taking root in the neighboring systems within Arkanis and Grohl sectors. With the much needed aid and assistance from all the Resistance, Kaminoians find themself rebuilding and growing stronger everyday. Though Imperial forces have entrenched themselves deeper in high value planets and systems, Resistance Command stated that they are proceeding to prepare for an assault with one goal; to completely remove any and all vestige of Imperial occupation and subjugation.
