The last known contact the comet had with any object was with a rogue asteroid 38,000 years ago. The asteroid grazed Cyrine and the impact sent it hurtling towards the planet of Kintan and scientists believe this event to have caused the creation of Kintan's ocean and what is now known as The Isle of Sin. The asteroid's impression on the comet, however, sheared an even slab of its rocky surface away that was later developed as the foundation of a city. With a variety of interests vying for a piece of Cyrine, however, development of the metropolis has been stalled repeatedly by drastic redesigns. These plans have, at different times, seen Cyrine as a vacation destination in the lucrative Hutt Space and as a hideaway for pirates. Still, as Cyrine streaks across the night skies of the nearby temperate planets, there are many who dream of the possibilities of being able to one day live ridding a comet.
