Planet: Inat Prime
Table of Contents [hide]

The planet of Inat Prime is a small and pleasant world, with vast rolling plains and hills, verdant forestlands, and numerous small creeks and lakelands that make up the primary planetary hydrosphere. As a result of meltwater from the polar glaciers, a small shallow sea of freshwater has formed in the northern hemisphere, but no other major bodies of water have formed on the surface of the globe.

The grassy plains that make up most of Inat Prime are the domain of various grazing species, such as the docile and companionable nerfs, or the more aggressive and territorial reeks. In turn, the creeks and lakes are home to a plethora of freshwater fish, which has resulted in a local cuisine that is largely based around seafood. The southern hemisphere's woodlands provide habitat for both large and small forest flora and fauna, the most notable of which are the Inati quizzer and gundarks, which use their strong, muscular arms to swing from tree to tree, or the larger and more vicious nexu.

As Inat Prime had no sentient lifeforms native to the planet, the world was one of the attempts by the Twi'leks from Ryloth to establish a colony beyond their arid and tidally-locked homeworld. Roughly five hundred years ago, the Twi'leks successfully petitioned the Republic Senate for the right to settle Inat Prime, and several decades later, the first villages and towns started to flourish on the planet. Small, tight-knit agrarian communities had taken shape along the fresh and clean creeks and lakes, yet they didn't succeed in attracting the attention of colonial investors or large corporations in the centuries that followed. As a result, Inat Prime became a quiet peripheral world that mostly attracted individuals who sought a peaceful existence removed from the turmoil of the galaxy. Today, the majority of the population is Twi'lek, but there are numerous other minorities, including Ithorians, Bothans, and Humans.

While Inat Prime has remained largely uninvolved in galactic politics and historical events in recent times, the increasing chaos and turbulence of the Galactic Civil War has left its population concerned about their safety and well-being. As a result, the world's leaders met and decided to align their world with one of the emerging powers in the Outer Rim in exchange for military protection and economic security.
