Lyntra is a planet on fire due to its core made mainly of pure metals which are volatile. It is the planet closest to Sriluur Sun in this system and has a very thin surface of hardened stone, almost like an eggshell surrounding a mixture of metals, well above their melting point. The outer layer is not attached to the planet itself and floats on the surface-tension of the core.
Because of the chemical consistence of the interior of this planet, it has an extreme magnetic signature. If it were possible to stand on the surface of this planet the actual horizon would be concave, bent downwards, due to the massive gravity-field which seems to bend light around the planet. Descending to its surface would cause any organism to literally break down. Her many craters have never been thoroughly examined due to the fact that no equipment has ever been able to send data back safely. The excruciating heat is considered the main factor.
Lyntra has been an invitation to explorers since the beginning of space exploration-much research was planned with the possible benefits of the Lyntra Missions- and nothing has changed: large corporations are still looking for ways to gather information from this object, though the planet guards her secrets carefully.
