Located a mere thirty light-days galactic-south of the Five Brothers, Sacorria is a pleasant, isolationist world. It has a single moon, Sarcophagus, which serves as a vast graveyard for the planet's inhabitants.

By the prevailing norms of most "modern" human societies, Sacorrian laws are quite conservative and tend to be strictly enforced. For example, women are not allowed to marry without their fathers' consent, and there has been considerable pressure to pass regulations prohibiting locals from marrying off-worlders. Members of both genders are expected to abstain from sexual relations until marriage; adultery, homosexuality and prostitution are considered "crimes against civilisation" and are punishable by death. Likewise, most crimes of violence and a significant range of other serious offences are capital crimes. Stiff fines, restitution, corporal punishment and public disgrace - all derived from various ancient Corellian religious writings - are imposed as punishment for lesser offences.

The Sacorria system protects itself through strict laws, an armed citizenry, and a strong paramilitary police force known as the Sacorrian Constabulary, making this world one of the safest in the known galaxy. While it is primarily a law enforcement agency, the Constabulary was originally chartered as an auxiliary of the Corellian Defence Force and its members are eligible to receive CDF decorations. Each of Sacorria's cities and towns has a cobblestone square at its centre, wherein petty offenders are pilloried, flogged, or caned. Methods of capital punishment vary according to the offence, and include hanging, impalement and burning at the stake, stoning, and blasting. Executions may be delegated to Constabulary personnel, but are often performed by a victim's nearest male relatives. Sacorria is the site of the ancient Dorthus Tal Prison, infamous in that there has never been a single escape during all the centuries of its existence.

Sacorria is ruled by the Triad, a secretive council of dictators consisting of one human, one Drall, and one Selonian. Little is known about these three rulers, not even their names, though the Selonians on Sacorria are known to be descendants of a dishonoured Selonian den. In years past the Triad was merely the puppet of the Corellian Diktat, but now freely runs the planet and has passed additional laws to uphold the more traditional ways of Corellian life.
