Lununmo is an extremely dense gas planet with immense pressure.  The gases within the planet are so thick that they act as a natural shield against physical objects.  More than a few long range probes have been destroyed as a result of passing too close to the planet’s gravity well.  Bith records also indicate that they nearly loss a ship sent to survey the planet, had the pilot not decided to execute and emergency jump, overriding normal hyperdrive protocol.  There is a strong belief that the high gravity of the planet may actually be due to an extremely dense surface that is simply too well hidden to see under the gaseous cover.  And since the atmosphere is too thick for safe entry, or exit, of any known craft, there will be no simple way to confirm or deny the theory.

From space, the planet of Lununmo is beautiful.  The swirling colors representing immense collections of gas for a soothing sight to most spectators, even if they have to watch from a safe distance through enhanced ship systems.  On the rare occasion that a meteorite can be seen heading into the atmosphere, audiences are able to see immense explosions from the ignited gases.  These explosions are actually even better for the planet’s beauty as they cause the gases to shift around given Lununmo a random pattern of colors.  It is said that no two trips to see the swirling mass of Lununmo is ever the same.

Lununmo’s amazing scenery was once one of the more prosperous endeavors of the sector as tourists came far and wide come to confirm the rumors of the beautiful but dangerous planet.  Since the onset of the Empire though, such attractions have become a luxury few can afford.
