One of the most delicate-looking planets within the entire H`nemthe system, H`nemthe V is technically a gas dwarf. Yet it and H`nemthe I are the two largest planets of the system. Formed from the leftover gases of the system's creation, H`nemthe V has no interesting history. Situated near the middle of the system, the planet has little effect on hyperspace travel, and all the gases on the planet are actually useless to most industries. The occasional rumor abounds that the Katana fleet was once sighted near the planet, but there is no substance to these claims.

There is an extremely large concentration of heavy gases near the northern pole of the planet. The concentrations are so thick that the entire northern pole has a bluish tint to it.  Called the Gongolfin Sea, the occasional rumor of its creation finds its way back to the inner systems and causes the usual laughs. One of the more imaginative rumors is that the Old Republic had tested a gravity weapon and the result was most of the planet's heavier gases being pulled to that location. If this rumor were true, then the weapon is still there as the gases have not dissipated back out around the planet. Most historical analysts will say that the very idea that the Republic would even develop such a weapon is ridiculous.
