The Togorians are a race of large, bipedal felines, well known for their abilities in combat. They have razor like claws on their paws and feet, aiding them in melee combat and giving them the ability to shred their prey. Their fur color ranges from black to a lighter gray and they sport a wide variety of spots and stripes. Their bones are extremely dense as well, allowing them to sustain heavy damage and survive often without broken bones or major trauma.
These sentients are widely renowned for their impeccable honor, which is believed to have helped harbor good relations with the Mandalorians. Historically the Togorians were seen fighting side by side with their armor clad brethren, and are regarded as a formidable force on the battle field.
The Togorians are naturally good hunters, typically pursuing the etelo and bist as a source of food on their home planet, Togoria. In addition to being accomplished hunters, they regularly evaded contact with the larger liphons, a flying reptilian predator. As they evolved they developed a symbiont relationship with another reptilian species, the mosgoths, who were also hunted by the liphons. This would lead to a mutual relationship with many Togorians residing near the nests of the mosgoths, and they eventually bred and trained the reptilian creatures as mounts.
The tendency to hunt and keen interest in weapons have contributed to the Togorian's talent in weapon making. Their weapon of choice is the Sc'rath, a hand held blade usually adorned with detailed inscriptions and symbols. Many Togorians have left their home world and made quite a name for themselves as blacksmiths around the galaxy. Their insistence on high quality material and attention to detail allow them to create melee weapons that some regard as works of art.
Over time, a peculiar social trait has developed, driving a wedge between the male and females of this species. The males have always been fond of their nomadic ways as hunters and despise settling down. The females, however, have made more permanent settlements where they raise their young. This unique development has led to the males spending the majority of their lives away from their family, typically residing with them for only a month or two each year.
Despite this strange arrangement, the males always keep close communication through scouts with their families, providing ample defense and aid when required. The females, meanwhile, are rather curious and diligent towards manufacturing and understanding various kinds of technology. This aided them in making the Togorian race prosperous by bartering for other technologies and goods on an interplanetary scale.

Togoria is the primary planet in the Thanos system, which is located within the Mid Rim. This temperate planet also serves as the homeworld of the Togorian race. The capital is located in Caross and seat to a hereditary monarch, the Margrave of Togoria. Some have to referred to Togoria as an "emerald gem" and is home to a variety of terrains, creatures, and flora.
The terrain is primarily comprised of grasslands, with two mountainous regions in the north and east. There are also stretches of swamp and forest sprinkled across the planet, including the infamous Swamp of Vapors. These different land types lend to a broad array of creatures for the native Togorians to hunt and use for domestication.
Some of the most notable creatures found on Togoria are shapers, mosgoths, liphons, etelos and bist. Shapers, which reside in the Swamp of Vapors, are very agile and clever creatures that favor luring their prey into swamps, so as to trap them. The mosgoth are an herbivore avian reptile that the Togorians use as mounts. The liphon are an avian reptile, similar to the mosgoth, but are predatory and carnivorous. They are also noted as stealing eggs from mosgoth nests. The bist and etelo are herd animals that are hunted for sport as well as domesticated for use in Togorian settlements.
As a Togorian male comes of age, one of the possible trials they can face is "Pursuance of the Shaper." This trial is considered the most honorable and most perilous, primarily for it taking place in the Swamp of Vapors. The shapers are the primary residents of this marshy, overgrown land. The water is very slow moving and contains a top layer of algae, which masks the movement of creatures and insects below as well as a menagerie of plant life. With very little dry land to step on, some warriors take to the trees and scout for their prey from above. While there are a few accounts of a warrior going directly into the water and spending most of their time there, many of these individuals came out more injured than those who did not.
Due to the isolationist policies of Togorian society, they did not initially seek to achieve a proficient level of technology to travel offworld, which most attribute to Togoria's lack of galactic trade. Nevertheless, this has also led to the majority of their planet being left unspoiled, with less demand on extracting the planet's resources. Even so, one of Togoria's major exports is the Sc`rath scimitar, crafted by male weapon smiths and held in high esteem by weapon enthusiasts for its quality. While imports include comlinks, datapads, and small droids, with Females of the native species known to buy small amounts of offworld luxuries when it can be afforded.
