Planetary environments are categorised by the combination of the
planet's climate (hot, temperate and cold) and type of atmosphere
(toxic, breathable and absent/none). There is an additional category to
the various combinations of the above, 'Gas Giant', which covers both
the atmosphere and the climate.
The images you will see while ascending/descending to/from atmosphere
on the various bodies can be viewed in the Planets
Rules page.
The following table shows the amount of damage a character receives if
unprotected in an hostile environment. This damage is only applied when
you are outside and exposed to the elements, ie: not in a city. Upon
reaching 0
HP an unprotected character will fall into unconsciousness
and cease to receive environmental damage.

Some races have special characteristics that protect them in certain
environments and harm them in others.
Gand & Kel Dor
May breathe without the aid of protective items on
planets with a toxic atmosphere. Require a Breathing Mask when on
planets with an oxygen rich atmosphere.
Important
Loss of HP for Gand & Kel Dor on oxygen rich planets
has not yet been implemented.
Givin
Can survive without the aid of protective items on
planets with no atmosphere.
