Lis is the closest planet to the sun of Cirius, within the Cirius system. It is a barren planet; home to massive volcanic activity, riddled with underlying cave systems and a rocky terrain constantly under threat of meteoric events. Despite Lis' inhospitable nature, the reward of habitation is worth the risk, as deep underneath its surface lies incredible quantities of valuable minerals and rare gems.

Little is known about the history of the planet Lis. There have been unsubstantiated accounts that in the past Lis has served as a research and manufacturing base for the Valathorians, an extension to their Doyielian colony. There are also tales that they failed many times; sacrificing their cities as they hurried to leave when their technology proved insufficient to weather the extreme heat of the planet. However, they eventually succeeded and used their newfound resources to make huge strides in the development of starship technology; developing better sub-light drives and the discovery of the hyperdrive. It is unknown if these rumors are true or are just stories told of the ancient past. However, as explorers have found out, the planet Lis is home to the remnants of a few ancient cities. Whether that is proof that the long-gone Valathorians once used Lis as a colony is still disputed to this day.

In present times what is known about Lis is that it is governed by the Tenloss Syndicate, with Lis serving as a valuable source of raw materials. Though the future of the governing body of the planet cannot be known, it is almost certain that Lis will persist beyond the lifespan of most sentient beings.
