The Cheruba system was discovered around 3700 standard years ago, only a few centuries after the founding of the Hapes Consortium. At this point, the Hapans were busy exploring the Hapes Cluster and expanded to several systems within where they built colonies. Cheruba was named after the ruling dynasty of the time, House Arxianic. While it was a beautiful system, it was considered mostly useless for colonisation at that point and left alone.
It was not until 130 standard years ago that the system was colonised with the approval of Princess Da’tanah Pal’durath during the Hapan civil war. Hapan and Alderaanian pilgrims were allowed to form a farming colony in the system if they promised to deliver supplies to the Princess’ military forces. The system itself was mostly unaffected by the war and still thrives today with a small population which is a mixture of Hapan and Alderaanian.
The orbits of the planets in the system are mostly ecliptic, which results in long years on the planets there.
