“War is Peace, Peace is Unity, Unity is Loyalty, Loyalty is Honor, Honor is Service, and Service is Life!!” -Commander Kyouto
Discovered by explorers over three millennia ago Mek va Uil drew colonists from every walk of life in the Galaxy to its fertile soil, abundant resources, and promise of prosperity. Cursed by its central location the Planet soon became a way point for every invasion force in every galactic war on record. Its citizens have been forcibly conscripted to serve in every known war, no matter the cause or ideology. Billions of its spawn have been enslaved as labor to build massive armadas to fight wars no one bothers to remember. Void of religion, myth, and lore, Mek va Uil grinds methodically through time and space, caring not for heroes or villains, resigned to its fate as an expendable labor pool. As the saying goes, “No one leaves Mek unless it’s in a troop transport”. What was once a radiant jewel of hope has since been reduced to a smoldering ember of tragedy and despair.
In Year 16, "Technology Crusaders" from Pardox Manufacturing arrived on the planet in search of ancient artifacts only to discover the pre-existing civilization had collapsed into chaos. This mission was led by Constellation Commander Esu Kyouto who quickly set about reconnecting the energy grid to return power to essential medical, agriculture, and industrial facilities while declaring martial law to restore order. Within a year, all Crime Syndicates had been disbanded, Warlords had been rounded up, and dissenters had been re-educated. A beacon of hope was lit in the darkness. Under “Papa” Kyouto’s stalwart guidance the employment rates are near perfect, the shuttles run on time, crime is at an all-time low, and the swamp of corrupt bureaucrats has been drained. The future is indeed bright for Mek va Uil.
By Year 19, the Mek va Uil had adequately recovered from its collapse to begin considering a role for itself as a central trade route for the Galaxy. With the threat of yet another Galactic War looming the citizens have unanimously declared sovereignty and begun protecting their borders from foreign incursion. Mek va Uil is once again a great place to live, vacation, and do business.
Update: Year 20 day 245; Paradox allies itself with the anti-human movement Sanctuary Prime to provide ordnance and logistical support. Paradox Board of Directors issued the following public statement; "Following an extensive review of the history of Mek va Uil and the Galaxy at large, Paradox has determined the root cause of suffering in the Galaxy is the relentless and violent expansion of the Human 'takers'. Paradox commits itself to aide Sanctuary Prime in sending these vile sentient beings back to the rat infested shitholes they crawled off of."
Year 21 Day 187:
The population of Mek va Uil, largely disenfranchised from their planetary rulers sponsored by the despised Paradox, have announced today that they are transferring the bulk of power to Sanctuary Prime instead, in hopes of stimulating their economy through their mining operations.
Year 21 Day 187:
The population of Ruuria Asteroid Ring IV, largely disenfranchised from their planetary rulers sponsored by the despised Paradox, have announced today that they are transferring the bulk of power to Sanctuary Prime instead, in hopes of stimulating their economy through their mining operations.
Year 21 Day 184:
The ease with which Paradox had visibly improved the economy of Mek va Uil has made it increasingly obvious to Mek va Uil's citizens that Paradox would make more than sufficient leadership, and have called together a council, intended to hand over authority to Paradox.
Year 21 Day 182:
