Background
The Blue Star Dominion is a sovereign state located in the Southeastern Outer Rim, where it governs the Sevetta sector and the Dagu star system. Though its administrative seat lies in this region, the Dominion extends its influence through both overt and covert operations across the galaxy. Its name honors the two luminous blue stars found in the Dagu and Woldona systems as a reminder of its regional roots despite its presence in galactic affairs.
The Dominion traces its lineage to a complex legacy of influence and upheaval, beginning with the then-infamous Black Sun crime syndicate prior to Year 15. During a violent internal power struggle led by a usurper, the Dael'mor Mandalorian clan relinquished control of the syndicate and splintered off to form the Gree Trade Authority (Years 15–18). This group would later evolve into the Sevetta Conglomerate (Years 19–20), laying the foundation for Cedron Tryonel, Taranjeek O`Cuinn, and Tomas O`Cuinn to establish the Blue Star Dominion in Year 22. The Dominion inherited the mantle of its predecessors while forging a bold path of sovereignty and defiance, withstanding repeated assaults by both the Galactic Empire and the Zann Consortium, each eager to see it fall.
Designated an enemy of the usurped Black Sun and its patron, the Galactic Empire, the breakaway group soon found itself in direct opposition to Imperial interests. When an Imperial fleet threatened their home system, the Dominion's predecessors aligned with the New Republic, becoming consistent supporters in the broader struggle against Imperial rule. Following the New Republic's collapse in Year 21, the Dominion's predecessor emerged as a founding member of a regional coalition organized in resistance to the Imperial regime. As the Rebel Alliance formed in the aftermath, the Dominion's predecessor quickly assumed a prominent role within the new movement and its overarching alliance; the Dominion itself was formally established the following year. It remained a leading participant in the alliance for several years before its level of engagement declined five years later, reflecting the growing internal divisions among allied members and increasingly uneven contributions to the cause. These issues culminated in Year 27 during the Rebel Alliance's transition back into the New Republic, which coincided with its withdrawal from a broader coalition of long-standing partners, many of whom were unable or unwilling provide meaningful involvement in the conflict with the Empire. The Dominion nevertheless maintained its support and cooperation with the New Republic.
More than a decade after being declared an enemy by both the Galactic Empire and Zann Consortium, the Dominion remains.

Blue Star's extensive interests make it a potential target, both from the oppressive Imperial Union and the occasional pirate. To defend its holdings and operations, the Dominion has invested significant resources into the production, maintenance, and operation of both a high-tech naval fleet alongside a well-equipped and professionally-trained infantry force. Blue Star also maintains a vast army of droids which provide enhanced fleet security and serve as auxiliary support troops in the field, providing a force multiplier to enhance combat efficiency. Each planet and system within the Dominion also boasts its own defense and law enforcement agencies.
