Galactic Medical, once one of the most prolific independent healthcare systems in the Outer Rim, found itself on the brink of destruction almost a decade ago after a scandal shook the Confederacy of Independent Systems as well as the Tal'ShenAran family.
The faction was originally founded as an unofficial organization by Ettore Kalsi, roughly three months before it's official incorporation in year 11. From it's conception, Ettore was to lead the faction and Crawford Zapp would provide the funds necessary. Leo Iscander would then become Kalsi's right hand in their quest for neutral and affordable medical services.
After some time, Duke Leo Iscander would urge his leader to search for a suitable neutral alliance to help the faction grow and become the faction they dreamed of. Iscander would act as ambassador with the task of approaching suitable alliances. Upon gathering the information needed to make a decision in this aspect, Kalsi and Iscander had agreed to submit an application to join the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Upon approval, Iscander was appointed as Senator within the alliance, with Kalsi becoming it's Head of State shortly after. A period of peace would grace the alliance until turmoil would set in, followed by the death of Galactic Medical's leader, Ettore Kalsi. Pat Kil`astra, who was the Second in Command at the time, would move on to become the faction's leader and owner for the years to follow. With the CIS slowly crumbling at it's factions' feet after years of dipolmatic failures, Galactic Medical removed itself from the alliance, only to fade away and close it's doors to the public in Year 16.
While out of the public eye, Kil`astra would work tirelessly with members the Tal'ShenAran family with hopes of rebuilding a strong foundation for the group. After years of consolidating resources and with the backing of the 3rd Confederate goverment, Galactic Medical would once again open it's doors to the public in Year 21.
Galactic Medical is headquarted on Mondress, in the system of Mondress.
