Temples are in many ways similar to churches. Many temples however, predate the specific religion and were used for millennia earlier as a gathering place for other religions and cults throughout the galaxy. Usually built with carved surfaces both on the interior and exterior, these structures are a wonder to behold. Many of the religions and cults that are still practising continue to use these temples to meet and practice the varied rites that they hold sacred. In some cases the temples have fallen into ruin, or have been restored to their original splendour, but whatever their state they still hold the power and attraction for which they were built.
