Much of Koiogra VI's surface is a study in opposites, covered in either super-chilled ice and snow or bubbling lava fields fed by hundreds of volcanic vents reaching deep into the planet's crust. Life does exist, however, though the majority of it is either the cold-adapted bacteria in the more remote regions or a complex web of predators, which occupies the narrow band of 'moderate' temperatures where the ice and fire meet. Despite the oceans of lava circling the globe, Koiogra VI is still a cold world, but some of the more liveable areas host grasslands and vibrant forests, both fed by the slightly elevated carbon levels in the atmosphere. Away from these forests, however, most sentients develop headaches or a curious feeling of lightheadedness because of the mixture of atmospheric gases.
