Fii is home to the Toydarian Mining Council. The council places managers in each of its mines and analyzes how many slaves it will need to make sure the productivity of the mines are at high efficiency to meet their strict quotas. Much of the planet is covered with thick glaciers. Where the glaciers have receeded, the surface is rocky, scarred by caves and craters from meteorite impact from the distant past. Fii's caves are known to have a high level of Gundark activity, and Toydarian mercenaries are often hired to protect the managers and the slaves from attacks.
