Meresarulyrn is the only cold planet with a toxic atmosphere in the Arabanth system. Its unfriendly terrain mostly consisting of glaciers due to the cold climate mixed with the volcanic areas in the south, has left the planet mainly untouched by Hapan settlers, save a smaller outpost established for research reasons.

The large volcanic activity on the planet is as far as Hapan scientists argue, is due to the relatively late creation of the planet. It is expected that the volcanic activities will continue for many thousands of star years to come.
