This sun, the star in the Abacs system of the Deep core, is a large sun though not particularly hot. The sun itself is significantly larger than most, causing it to have a large gravitational pull which has effected the rotation of Daerhudriel. Furthermore, this sun is not hot enough to cause the nearby planets to be particularly desert-like, however provides comfortable swimming range for the Ishi Tib on their home planet of Tibrin.
