Glithnos I is a subarctic planet with an ammonia atmosphere. While inhospitable to human life without the use of pressure suits, rebreathers, and environmental suits, some of the insectoid races find the climate livable. Most especially the Gand have found this planet to be a good staging point. Accustomed to wearing rebreathers anyways, due to their respiration of methane gases, and acclimated to a considerably lower temperature than humans. Pools of ammonia can be found in the equatorial regions during the apogee period of the planet's yearly rotation. Gravity is 1.112 Coruscant gravities. Atmospheric density is 3.9kg at sea level. The planet rotates at a rate of once every 29 days, 4 hours and 12 minutes, standard. A year lasts 8.4 standard years. There are no known indigenous forms of life on the planet's surface.
