Muunilinst - often nicknamed Moneylend - is a beautiful emerald and sapphire orb circling around its star as the sole celestial object within its system. Both the planet and its sun are located within the Obtrexta sector and are a prominent trade hub along the Braxant Run, a hyperlane branching off from the Hydian Way. Despite this, and primarily because of the strenuous environmental preservation efforts of its natives, Muunilinst remains a verdant globe of seemingly endless plains of rolling grasslands, densely forested woodlands, and pristine deep blue oceans. Yet, the most vital areas of the planet are its mighty mountain ranges and rumbling deep sea volcanoes referred to as “smokers”, which remain the source of the world’s wealth and economic importance through mineral and ore mining to this day.

The lush orb of Muunilinst is home to many indigenous life forms, such as the tubeworms that live within the pleasantly warm and mineral rich waters of its oceans, or the six-legged, four-eyed lizards called dragon beasts that inhabit the areas around Harnaidan, the capital city of Muunilinst and its sole remaining urban population centre. Its beautiful grasslands with its tall grasses and colourful fields of flowers give shelter to small critters like endemic subspecies of squalls, or the unwittingly introduced gizkas that arrived on the planet stowed away aboard cargo freighters long ago. Its forests, groves, and glades are the domain of fierce predators like the gundarks, nexu, and akk dogs among others, many of which were introduced into the environment at the behest of local game hunters wishing to pursue exotic game.

The tall, slender Muuns are the natives of the planet, albeit some scholars continue to insist that their original homeworld was Scipio, with Muunilinst being their oldest and most successful colony. Nonetheless, these gaunt humanoids are the undisputed masters of this world, both culturally and economically. The Muuns are renowned and lauded across the galaxy for their fine mastery of finance and mathematics, as well as their extreme caution and reserved nature. As such, aliens who permanently reside on the planet aside from merely visiting it for business purposes is a rare sight. These protective tendencies of the Muuns for their homeworld resulted in the large-scale withdrawal of the planetary urban sprawl, and its limitation to the beautiful and impressive city of Harnaidan, a marvel of neoclassical architecture.

Muunilinst and its natives have been a part of galactic society for aeons. While once their planetary economy had revolved around farming and fishing, the emergence of interstellar travel in the region allowed the Muuns to build much of their wealth and prosperity upon the abundant mineral and ore riches of their homeworld. Its position along the hyperlanes enabled the natives of Muunilinst to establish the planet as an excellent hub for corporations and enterprises to do business on, its economic value eventually even rivalling key Core Worlds like Coruscant or Corellia. Especially after the founding of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, Muunilinst became a financial and economic power to be reckoned with, which had the influence to dictate the course of galactic events. The Muuns financed the original colonisation and continued development of many worlds along the Braxant Run, from worlds such as Bastion and Gwori, to planets like Agamar and Ord Trasi, all bringing even greater wealth and influence to their homeworld. As a result, Muunilinst and its people have been capable of maintaining their independence from any galactic powers, with many interstellar states, corporations, and organisations continuing to seek the favour of the Muuns and their undeniably deep pockets.
