Shesharile I is a large, frozen planet in the Shesharile system. The planet's cold, barren terrain is a result of Shesharile I's distance from its sun. All of its oceans are permanently frozen over, sealing off the planet's marine life from the world above with a solid barrier of ice. However, many active volcanoes stand in stark contrast to Shesharile I's tundra; spewing forth torrents of magma and causing the nearby ice to melt. Around these volcanoes, great walls of steam can be seen rising up and forming clouds above the mountains' peaks.

Though most of the surface of Shesharile I is covered with ice, there are patches of land which have benefited from the light of the sun and the heat produced by the magma that erupts regularly off the coast. Constituting about one-third of the planet's surface area, these patches are covered by dense forest greenery and are inhabited by quite a wide variety of flora and fauna. Though it is not as botanically or zoologically fascinating as some of its tropical companions, Shesharile I is known for its rich mineral deposits and ample deposits of precious metals.

The planet's breathable atmosphere provides habitat not only for its native wildlife but also for colonists who have settled there. These colonists have begun the construction of outposts on the remote planet, hoping to take advantage of its many untapped natural resources.
