The planet Churba is a cultured world and has historically been the capital of the sector of the same name. Its surface consists mostly of one cohesive landmass, interspersed with a few small inland oceans and seas that make up the planet's primary hydrosphere. In turn, the equatorial region is a land of vast jungles and rainforests that form an integral part of Churba's ecosystem. This verdant, tropical region arose due to the fertile soil prevalent throughout this part of the globe as a result of higher than average volcanic activity on the planet.
The grasslands and plains further north and south in their respective hemispheres are the domain of large grazers, such as the woollooks (an endemic sub-species of nerf) or the falumpasets, which were imported from Naboo to increase environmental diversification. In turn, the jungles and forests are home to various forms of life, with the most recognisable being the loth-cat, or the Churban quizzer, which was introduced into the environment ages ago, and evolved into its own sub-species as a result. Yet the rainforests are also home to a number of less friendly and more dangerous predators, such as the terrifying gundarks, swinging from tree to tree, or the mighty jungle rancor, which lives deep within the densest parts of the rainforests.
While not a major player in the Mid Rim, Churba has been a civilised and sophisticated world for millennia and has been known for its often groundbreaking technologies developed and manufactured by its experienced and wealthy industrialists. In light of its favourable position on the galactic plane between the coreward worlds and the Outer Rim, corporate entities like the droid manufacturer Sencil Corporation or the mining conglomerate Centrepoint have selected this blue and green sphere for their headquarters. As a result, it has attracted a varied and diverse population over the centuries, with many sentient species from all over the galaxy coming to call this world their home.
