A world long overlooked by the galaxy at large, Cavas, for the most part, continues to be so. Located far in the fringes of the Brentaal system, this large world slowly revolves around Brenta, taking nearly 500 years to complete a single revolution. Between this slow spin and the great distance, Cavas acquired the lone distinguishing feature with which it has attracted a very specialized kind of attention; namely that it is very cold compared to other gas giants throughout space. Beneath its deep atmosphere churns an equally thick chemical soup of liquids kept suspended between the oddly oblong and solid core of Cavas and the lighter gases above them. While this progression from gas to liquid to solid is fairly common amongst gas giants like Cavas, the exact composition has made it something of a testbed for material containment and extraction technologies. Most applications can be tested in the self-segregating sea of the lower atmosphere without the additional costs of hardening it for the super-chilled environments which are usually the home of most such liquid elements.
