Beautiful Dubrillion is a temperate cosmopolitan paradise circling around its primary in the Myto sector. Its violet-hued oceans - a rare effect of the phytoplankton living within its pristine waters - are truly a sight to behold when viewing the world from orbit, while its gleaming cities are a marvel of architectural design and style. Of the four continents that make up this marvelous utopia's landmass, three are completely covered in an ever-expanding urban sprawl that has even encroached upon the watery domain of the world's oceans. Its largest continent called Gantalon still harbours densely forested woodlands, green meadows and fields of tall grasses, as well as sandy dunes that developed pleasant oases near its coastal areas. Flora and fauna both indigenous as well as imported from the distant corners of the galaxy call this wondrous retreat their home, such as the Gantalonian Nexu prowling the Esmarillan Evergreens, or the gracious cy’een often sighted within the violet waters of the Dubrillion Ocean.

The world of Dubrillion had been discovered and settled during the Republic's aggressive push into the Outer Rim during the Pius Dea Era of roughly ten thousand years ago. Humans from the Core Worlds had flocked to the planet in droves, establishing themselves as lords, counts, and princes over the untouched domains of the violet orb. Eventually, a planetary monarchy was established uniting all the noble houses of Dubrillion under one banner. It was this unification that sparked a long period of urban development and economic growth that saw the world transform into an important center of commerce and trade along the Veragi Trade Route. A couple of decades before the Great Galactic War between the Republic and Sith Empire, the Drayen family was the ruling house of Dubrillion. Yet, near the war’s inception, the nobles conspired to overthrow their reigning king at that time, who managed to flee his homeworld and later became the legendary crime lord Nok Drayen. While House Drayen never managed to reclaim the throne, the tales and legends of their exploits within the galactic underworld remain the source of many popular holovid adaptations to this day. During the Clone Wars, the reigning monarch of Dubrillion had aligned the planet with the Separatist Alliance.

Much of the society and culture of Dubrillion revolves around the schemes and plots of its nobility. While most of the nobles are of Human descent, some ambitious non-Human families had managed to secure lesser titles and lands in the past, working themselves up into the highest echelons of the planetary aristocracy, much to the dismay of more xenophobic families. This often leads to tensions between the more progressively-minded noble houses and those wishing to see exclusively Humans in power. Nonetheless, Dubrillion is generally welcoming of alien citizens, and while Humans remain the dominant demographic on this planet, races such as the Twi'leks, Zabraks, Anx, and Duros have been a common sight on its streets for millennia. Over the last couple of centuries, even Muuns from nearby Muunilinst started to call this planet their home in order to more closely oversee their increasing investments into the economic growth and development of the planet. Offworlders frequently note that the citizens of Dubrillion speak with a quaint accent that is either described as "distinguished" or "posh", depending on the visitor's own societal standing. The same is often said of the world's elaborate customs of pageantry and etiquette, wherein even the slightest accidental misstep can be perceived as a calculated affront or clever ploy to cast the other party into disrepute.
