Easily the largest planet within the Bpfassh system, Bpfassh IV is a gas giant with immense possibilities. The overall mixture of gases is actually breathable for many species so no special equipment is necessary to live there. At least one early colony was formed there long ago, but the cost of keeping the colony in the safe upper atmospheric levels of the planet was too high at the time. With today's technology and improved repulsorlifts, developing the modern colony on Bpfassh IV was fairly easy.
Bpfassh IV's size should be a tempting enough target for any tibanna gas mining corporation. The entire planet is rich with the substance and awaits any eager corporation that wishes to capitalize on the possibilities. Because the resource has a habit of renewing itself readily, Bpfassh IV's contribution to the galactic community will most likely last for quite a long time. While the only valuable gas on the entire planet is the tibanna gas, a few corporations have considered setting up long-term colonies as a permanent stake on the planet. Most tibanna mines last only a few years and are not designed as residential facilities.
Because of its location near the outer edge of the system, Bpfassh IV has a significant effect on any hyperspace travel to and from the system. If caught at it's furthest orbit from the nearby star, it can easily cause a ship to spend several additional hours of in-system travel. The outer position of Bpfassh IV, and a rather erratic orbit, has caused many travelers to consider the planet an annoying traffic inhibitor.
