Once covered almost entirely in ice, the glaciers of Denab II have receded to the point that only the northern and southern poles are frozen year-round. Especially concentrated around the equator are dense arctic forests which teem with life. The mammalian Quizzers are one such abundant species who spend much of their lives in the thick canopy several dozen meters above the ground. Pelts from the underbelly of the Quizzer are a favorite among ladies of high fashion in several systems. Hunters will sometimes rig intricate traps among the trees to capture them, but it is a dangerous endeavor at such heights. The less motivated tend to trap a pack of Quizzers by felling the surrounding trees and then setting fire or cutting down their refuge.
