Planet: Ord Ibanna IV
Table of Contents [hide]

The fourth planet from the Ord Ibanna sun, Ord Ibanna IV is extremely cold. Its distance from the star isn't the only reason though; there isn't a single layer of atmosphere around the entire planet. Craters resulting from meteor impacts are a common sight on the surface, while the pockets of water trapped when the planet first formed can be found frozen on the rocks. Several volcanic regions also dot the surface.

Similar in composition to the planet of Ord Ibanna V, it is rumored that Ord Ibanna IV and Ord Ibanna V had once had very similar orbits, acting as twins. The rumors continue to speculate about the interference of Bpfasshi Dark Jedi to explain the currently opposing orbits of the two planets. Yet the similar composition of rock, volcanoes, ice, and craters cause many researchers to if the two were not one planet at some point long ago, separated perhaps by the collision of some large cosmic object. Or perhaps internal pressures became too high. The exact explanation behind the 'twin planet' phenomena is currently unknown though.

Ord Ibanna IV is considered to be a location of great economic value despite its lack of atmosphere and cold temperatures. There is are vast amounts of rock, crater and ice fields that contain a wide assortment of valuable minerals. Its immense size means that any minerals found could easily be found in large quantities, or several deposits found throughout the world. Strategically, it provides an adequate base as the Ord Ibanna system is on the outskirts of the Brema sector, and since Ord Ibanna IV is among the outermost terrestrial planets of the system, it is easily accessible.
