The Adarlon system is located in the far reaches of the galaxy, on the edge of Churba space, within the Minos Cluster. Extreme distance from the commerce in the core of the galaxy has meant that the inhabitants of the system cannot rely too often on supplies and support from those more developed systems. The colonists have had to take up a slightly different route to other newly colonized systems. This has meant that tourism has become one of the system's main credit generators, with many visitors coming to visit the peaceful surroundings of Adarlon, or visit the atmosphere of Andarlon II and view the spectacular triple ring system around it.

The system itself has had a relatively turbulent time, for in the recent past a rogue planet raced through the system, atomizing a moon and breaking apart to form an asteroid field in close proximity to the sun. In more recent years, the system itself has fallen into decline, with very few people actually living within the system and the numbers of tourists declining slowly, heading off to more exotic locations. As the sector the Adarlon system occupies changes hands, the controlling governments seem to have few projects in mind to improve the system. As do the citizens, who continue as they have done over the past few hundred years, creating a living for themselves in frontier space.
