The Jump Master 5000 (JM-5000) is a ship designed for long-term action on the frontline, and beyond. With a massive array of weapons and stronger shields than most other fighters and freighters, it is a favourite of many military fleet commanders. The JM5K, as the vessel's name is commonly abbreviated, is used as escort, reconnaissance and even secure transport between the capital ships in a fleet.

Both aerodynamically and aesthetically pleasing, the crescent-shaped spacecraft is even more effective in atmosphere than in space. This makes the JM5K even more versatile as it can rout an assault force back to orbit while deployed in planetary defense, or pound on enemy ships from orbit to surface and driving disabled ships to ground.

Still in production, the Jump Master 5000 has also found its way into the civil market and often serves as a security escort in merchant fleets. Those independent freighter captains who can afford one, are very fond of the ship's mix of sturdiness, aggressiveness and speed; all without giving up too much on cargo space. The latest models from the production line sport more comfort, making longer trips that much easier. The fact that the JM5K comes with room for a crew of five makes it popular for smuggling operations as it allows for multiple pilots who can operate the ship non-stop.
